Romeo & Juliet

Right from the beginning, Shakespeare told the reader this story was a tragedy, and the star-crossed lovers known as Romeo & Juliet would die at the end. Still, the way so many things happen so fast and then nothing interesting happens for a long time, keeps us wanting more and more. Curiosity got the most of all of us, and even though we knew the ending, reaching the climax of the story was a must. We knew they were dying, but the thought of how they would die kept me intrigued throughout the whole book. Wanting to know every single detail made me want to finish the book as soon as possible. When Shakespeare writes, he gives out the necessary information, but no more than that, which will make us interested and curious of what really happens, how, when, and why. This writing technique is great, however hard to master. By giving us a vague and unclear image of what would happen, we were given enough info to know what happened, but we're still dying to know the details and what exactly happened.
